Semiconductor Technology

Challenge: High temperatures can prevail in the confined spaces between circuit boards. Due to the limited space, an ultra-slim connector design is required to meet the demands of flexibility and tight bending radius. There is high mechanical stress at the bend between the connector and the sleeve.

Solution: Our specially developed RJ-45 connector and the PRO-MXS injection mold provide an ideal solution for connection technology in confined spaces. The PRO-MXS connector is the shortest RJ-45 connector with a special latch design on the market. This connector and injection mold were specifically developed for this application and can be combined with various cable types. Combined with a special raw cable, we offer a temperature resistance of up to +85°C. The PRO-MXS patch cable is manufactured at our production facility in Germany and can be customized to customer specifications.

Plant engineering

Challenge: Modern devices and systems, such as electricity meters or charging stations for e-mobility, need to efficiently house cables in compact enclosures. The outer diameter of the cable as well as the flexibility and slim design of the connector are of great importance.

Solution: With our SMARTFlex patch cable, which has an outer diameter of 2.8 mm to 4.0 mm and high flexibility, we offer an ideal solution for space constraints in the enclosure. This long-established product stands out for its high flexibility and the world's shortest, slimmest RJ-45 connector. This allows high packing densities in machinery, plant, and automation technology. In addition to numerous technical advantages, the product offers an excellent price-performance ratio for plant and machinery manufacturers.

Mechanical Engineering

Challenge: Precision and consistency in production are crucial for machinery manufacturers. The connection cables of high-quality and expensive machines should not negatively impact the quality of the machines or lead to production downtimes. Inferior cables and connectors, as well as color deviations and poor workmanship, are risks that can cause quality problems for the entire machines and production.

Solution: With our PRO-900M PUR RJ-45 patch cable, we have been offering a high-quality patch cable for industrial Ethernet applications for years. The connector is equipped with 50µ gold-plated contacts and has a very short design to allow high packing density in confined spaces. Checking the crimp depth during the production process is part of our quality management and reduces contact loss in the event of vibrations. The high-quality raw cable with a PUR outer sheath is highly flexible, abrasion-resistant, and oil and UV resistant. The connection cable is manufactured at our plant in Germany using the injection molding process, ensuring stable quality and reliable delivery capability.

Cable assembly for moving applications

Challenge: With the progress of Ethernet applications and automation (Industry 4.0), the number of applications for moving Ethernet-connected cables is increasing. Applications such as telescopic arms in aerospace technology, robotic arms in production, or digital whiteboards require reliable connection technology for moving applications.

Solution: With our strategic focus on Motion Cable Assembly, we offer numerous cables and connection technologies for moving applications. Our HIGH SCREEN FLEX DC RJ-45 patch cable is suitable for moving applications, such as use in drag chains. Drag chain-compatible Ethernet cables with field-configurable connectors provide an ideal solution for on-site self-assembly.

Outdoor/underwater camera

Challenge: With the rapidly increasing number of IP cameras worldwide, the requirements for data cables for supplying data and power underwater are also increasing. A highly flexible, robust, and water-repellent data cable for connecting IP cameras in water basins was needed. The customer valued that the cable's surface was so smooth that no algae could adhere to the outer sheath.

Solution: With the HIGH SCREEN FLEX CAT7 S/FTP data cable, we offer an ideal solution that meets the specific customer requirements. Thanks to the highly flexible and smooth TPU outer sheath, the cable is abrasion-resistant and water-repellent. The smooth surface of the outer sheath prevents algae adhesion. The conductor cross-section of AWG26/7 enables the connection of IP cameras through PoE and PoE+ applications.

Universities and public institutions

Challenge: In universities and public institutions, a constant transfer rate must be guaranteed during high data transfer. High-quality RJ-45 patch cables with molded bend protection are required to ensure stable 10 GbE data transmission for office and data center cabling.

Solution: For over 10 years, we have been partners with elite universities and public institutions that use our PRO-900M21 patch cables long-term. The PRO-900M21 patch cable is assembled from high-quality CAT7 S/FTP raw cable with Hirose TM21 connectors and is manufactured in our own facility in Germany using the injection molding process.

Precision engineering

Challenge: In the continuous operation of the industry, it is particularly important to shield the cable against external interference signals, high mechanical load, and vibrations. Screwed or plugged connectors have a higher risk of contact loss due to movements than molded variants.

Solution: Our injection molds for M12 patch cables enable the production of high-quality connection cables using the injection molding process, providing high mechanical load resistance against contact loss. Thanks to our variety of different injection molds, we offer a wide range of combination possibilities for various application areas.

Space

Challenge: AIXONTEC cables are also used in space! Special applications require individually manufactured connection cables that meet the requirements of the respective environment. Low weight, high mechanical load capacity, abrasion resistance, and high flexibility were the customer's core requirements.

Solution: Our PRO-900M PUR patch cable with maximum flexibility, abrasion resistance, and oil and UV resistance was manufactured with a special connector configuration for the customer. Thanks to our own cable assembly in Germany, we are able to quickly realize customer requests and deliver consistently.

Connection technology with high packing density

Challenge: To maximize packing density in limited space, special connection modules with optimal build height are required. If the build size of a Keystone format is too large for your environment or enclosure, special connection techniques are required according to customer specifications.

Solution: With our own development and design team, we offer the possibility to adapt connection techniques according to customer specifications. We supply several leading manufacturers with OEM products specifically developed for their requirements.
