Cable drum with copper connect assembly

With our copper cable reel, data transmission of 10 GbE over a distance of 90 meters, as well as 2x5m patch cables (total 100 meters), can be achieved according to ISO/IEC 11801. A significant advantage of using a copper conductor with standard RJ45 connector technology is the ability to simultaneously transmit power (PoE) and data over a single cable. Of course, we provide you with a test protocol upon request, documenting the performance of data and power transmission (PoE). The selection of the most suitable outer cable sheath and conductor cross-sections plays a crucial role in the overall performance and longevity of the product. Depending on your application, both solid and stranded conductors can be used. We are happy to advise you on choosing the right connector technology and data cable for your application.

Cable drum with fibre optic connect assembly

Fiber optic connection technology is ideal for applications where high bandwidth is required and data must be transmitted over long distances. Fiber optic technology uses light pulses for data transmission and is therefore particularly resistant to electromagnetic interference. This is especially important for modern network applications and communication systems, where large amounts of data need to be processed and transmitted in real-time.
Our plastic cable reels can offer total lengths depending on the diameter of the outer sheath (Ø5mm up to 250m) and (Ø3mm up to 400m). By default, the fiber optic cables are equipped with steel armoring and have an outer cable diameter of Ø5 mm, ensuring optimal protection against external influences.

The cable reel can be equipped with LC or SC connectors for up to 8 fibers. We use a special outer sheath that provides high flexibility, UV resistance, and temporary water protection. Additionally, the steel-armored cable offers protection against external mechanical stress and rodents.

Optimal IP protection

Our cable drums are available in IP20 and IP54 versions. In the IP54 variant, connection technology is used that has equal or higher IP protection. This ensures that the plugs and sockets are optimally protected against dust, water, and mechanical stress. We place great emphasis on the solid workmanship and durability of our connection technology to optimally protect the interface between the cable end and the plug/module.

Our extensive selection of copper and fiber optic connection technologies with standard modules or special connection technology with round, heavy-duty, and bayonet connectors can be easily manufactured in combination with our cable drum. Both hybrid solutions and trunk cables with multiple cables under a braided sheath can be offered by us as custom configurations.
